Welcome to our event about Dance events!

As the world is slowly reopening on the wane of the covid19 Health crisis, many people have engaged in discussions about how we can go back to dancing (Vernacular) Jazz dances in a safe and respectful manner. Topics such as diversity, inclusion, and cultural appreciation have been at the forefront of concerns for our Jazz dance community these past years, and now it is time to act in accordance with our refocused intentions.

Therefore, CVFC is very excited to propose this interactive workshop where we will come together to (re)imagine dance events and create the type of social space we desire and deserve. Whether you are a dance or music enthusiast, dancer, musician, teacher, DJ, MC, school owner, event organiser… your voices matter and are important in reaching our goal to create a better and more open Jazz Dance community.

As this conversation is equally important on the local scale as well as the global scale, we would like to encourage participants who can (in a safe manner), to attend this event as a group with other local dancers. If you have the opportunity to come together, you will have the opportunity to engage in the different activities with your local group rather than with online participants.
